Alpha Lambda Alumni Corporation of Theta Chi Fraternity
The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity was re-installed in 2017 after a two decade absence. Since their return, the chapter has become the premier fraternity at The Ohio State University in terms of size, academics, and community service. Click here to visit their undergrad website. The chapter's current rental home can accommodate 31 beds but the rent is very high. With over 150 members, they need a house in the 30-40 bed range to satisfy demand (primarily driven by 2nd year members).
We started the Alumni Corporation to achieve two goals: 1. Purchase a permanent chapter house, and 2. Pull the Alpha Lambda and Columbus-area Theta Chi alums together for brotherhood networking. There are over 1,000 Theta Chi within 50 miles of Columbus representing 111 chapters! Besides any involvement in your initiated chapter (if not Alpha Lambda), we’d love to make the Alpha Lamba Chapter your second home within Theta Chi.
Greg Spatz has been leading the house-hunting project and we are exploring some good leads, knowing full well that we need to secure adequate funding for a down payment. Theta Chi National is ready, willing, and able to help us should an opportunity become imminent.
We were incorporated in October 2022 and designated as a 501(c)(7) by the IRS.
